Should St. George Schools Withdrawal from RSU#13?

Thursday, October 25 at 7 pm, Meeting Room at Town Office: Town Education Committee
Public Meeting on their October 12, 2012 report “Education Options for St. George” now
posted on the town website Good reading before attending the
Meeting. Copies might be available at the Town Office. An additional Public Meeting will be held on
Tuesday, October 30 at 7 pm. These meetings are extremely important for decisions being made for
both education and expenditures, decisions that will reach far into the future.

On November 6, you may be voting on a non-binding referendum on whether you favor St. George
withdrawing from the RSU 13 school district and becoming an independent town school district with a
K-8 elementary school, and with high school students choosing to attend one of the area high
schools with tuition paid by the town school district. See the Oct. 12 Report and attend the Public
Meetings. This wording is not the wording of what the final wording of the referendum might be.
