Public Workshop on the New Cable Landing Ordinance

Time to settle by the wood stove, have a good read and turn out next Thursday. The Planning Board would like to have your questions and comments before a draft of the new Cable Landing Ordinance is made final. It is unusual for the PB to invite community participation during the drafting of an ordinance, but the Aqua Ventus wind turbine proposal has generated unusual interest. You probably read that the Maine Public Utilities Commission has put a hold on approval of an Aqua Ventus contract with CMP due to changing circumstances, e.g. electricity pricing. But this PUC ruling does not mean that our town does not need an ordinance for now and the future.

Hope to see you on Jan. 18. Anita Siegenthaler, Secretary, Friends of St. George

Thursday, January 18 at 7 pm at the upper meeting room, town office, Tenants Harbor: Public workshop on the new Cable Landing Ordinance being written by the Planning Board. Great opportunity. As the legislative body of the town, you’ll be voting on the final version of the Ordinance. This will be a good time to become familiar with the details and help craft the Ordinance to fit the town.
